Vivier Chemical Peels

The Vivier Peel is ideal for aging skin, dark spots, dehydrated skin, skin imperfections, and oily, congested acne prone skin. Gentle yet effective, it helps refresh, brighten, tighten, and illuminate the appearance of the skin.  It contains 10% lactic acid, 2% salicylic acid, 14% resorcinol, peptides and panthenol. We typically suggest this peel if you are a first-timer looking for an overall skin rejuvenation.

The Vivier TX Jessner Plus is suitable for aging skin, age spots, enlarged pores and a dull complexion. This resurfacing peel balances the desire for quick results and minimal downtime; reducing the appearance of fine lines and age spots for a firmer, tighter skin with a more youthful glow. The TX Jessner Plus peel is our more advanced peel that has all the same ingredients as the Vivier peel but with higher concentrations. 14% lactic acid, 14% salicylic acid, 14% resorcinol, peptides, and panthenol.

As with all treatments at the clinic, personal consults are preformed prior to treatment to determine the most appropriate peel for your skin type.

How does the chemical peel work?

Chemical peels use agents such as alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA’s), beta hydroxyl acids (BHA’s) and retinol. By applying acids on the epidermis, it decreases the Ph, loosening the bond between dead skin cells and forcing the body to replenish them with new cells.

The treatment takes 30 min, and is not painful. Some clients experience a slight tingling feeling as the treatment activates the skin.

Downtime varies with each individual and the strength of the peel. Typically, there is no downtime but some people do experience some redness and flaking that can last up to 5 days. Peeling can be very visible while others have microscopic peeling meaning it is being done on a cellular level and cannot be seen, either way the peel is effective!

Post treatment kits with Vivier Products are provided to patients after the chemical peel to ensure efficient recovery.

Pre-Treatment

(Three days before the treatment)

Avoid the following procedures: Electrolysis, waxing, and microblading

Stop using any exfoliating products that may cause irritation or dryness

Stop using products containing Salicylic acid, Alpha Hydroxyl Acid, Retinol, prescription Retinoids, Benzoyl Peroxide, medicated wash or acne lotions

No cosmetic injectable treatments like botox or fillers

You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding

Avoid hair removal treatments like laser hair removal, tweezing, waxing, and electrolysis

Post- Treatment

The night of your treatment rinse your skin gently with water and pat dry

Do not rub, pick or pull your skin as scarring may result

Avoid vigorous activities, swimming, and hot showers, especially in the first 24 hours following the treatment

Avoid harsh chemicals, washcloths, scrubs or loofahs for 48 hours following treatment

Do not use products using containing Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxyl Acid, Retinol, prescription Retinoids, Benzoyl Peroxide, medicated wash or acne lotions up to 48hrs following your treatment or once peeling, redness or dryness subsides

You may continue to use products that do not contain the previously mentioned ingredients the day after your treatment

To maintain your results, use the post treatment after care products as directed

No direct sunlight for 5 days following your peel- hat and SPF must be worn

Do not have any other facial treatments for at least one week after the procedure

Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily and avoid direct sunlight for at least one week.
