Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment based on the skins natural ability to repair itself. Microneeding treatments create superficial micro holes to the outermost layer of the skin, which stimulates new collagen and elastin production. The treatment promotes youthful skin, improves melasma, prevents fine lines and wrinkles, improve acne scars, diminish hyperpigmentation, targets enlarged pores, and improve skin tone and texture.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) 

PRP is a substance that is used to amplify the natural growth factors your body uses to heal. Plasma is the yellow liquid component of your blood that is composed largely of water and proteins. It plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process, which supports healthy new tissue growth. 

Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid

When microneedling is paired with Hylauronic acid, the cellular repair process begins almost immediately. This results in plumping and moisturizing the skin as well as a thicker dermis that is more resistant to new wrinkles. We encourage clients without skin concerns to choose this option. 

Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) aka (Vampire Facial)

PRP is an all-natural treatment that enhances the results of a microneedling treatment. PRP contains a concentrated amount of your own platelets that are full of proteins called growth factors- they are responsible for healing wounds, stimulating collagen and faster cell renewal. This treatment is great for client with acne scars, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles, dark circles and sun damage. Even if you don’t have any of these skin concerns this is a great treatment to improve skins tone, texture, and overall appearance.

PRP Under Eye Rejuvenation

PRP is a natural non-surgical solution to treating dark under eyes and mild hollowness. PRP is a great option to help boost collagen under the eyes which in turn will help with dark circles, hollowness and fine lines. By repairing the weakening elastin and collagen, it helps to plump and strengthen the under eye area.

The Process

We will start by applying a topical numbing cream for 30 minutes which will help make the treatment more tolerable. The treatment is very tolerable for most clients and Tylenol may be taken prior to the appointment, not Advil.

Next we draw your blood from your arm and spin the blood in a centrifuge to separate your plasma from other blood components. This is the gold liquid that you see! The plasma is removed from the tube and can be used for microneedling, injections into the scalp for hair loss, or injections to the under eye area. There is no risk for complications as it is your own blood components.

What areas can you treat?

PRP can be used on the face, neck, decollate, hair restoration and stomach stretch marks. 

Results

We recommend 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart, and results can last a year+. One treatment yearly is recommended to maintain results.

Pre- Treatment 

6 months before treatment avoid Accutane 

No cosmetic injections like Plasma, Botox, Dermal Filler, Chemical peels or Microdermabraisonfor 2 weeks prior.

No hair removal treatments to the treated area 2 weeks before treatment.

One week prior to treatment stop any products containing Salicylic Acid, Retinol, Vitamin A and acne topical creams with Benzoyl (AHA's or BHA's).

You may take Tylenol for pain an hour before the treatment.

Avoid sun beds, self-tanning products for a minimum of 24 hours before treatment.

Avoid alcohol 48 hours before the treatment.

You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.

Please eat food before your appointment and drink LOTS of water.

No Advil, ASA, Ibuprofen, Motrin, high doses of Vitamin E, Omega 3/fish oil, Ginco Biloba, Garlic, Ginseng, Dong Quai, Feverfew, St John's Wort one week prior to treatment.

Three days prior do not use any abrasive scrubs or exfoliants.

Post Treatment

You could experience redness between one to three days.

You may experience inflammation, itching, burning and possible breakouts.

You may experience some swelling around the eye area.

Do not touch your face for a minimum of 4 hours.

Do not wash the treated area for at least 8 hours after the treatment. Towel dry with a clean towel.

Wash with recommended non-irritant

If the skin feels dry and/or tight, you may apply a hyaluronic acid after 4 hours.

You can wash your face and wear makeup the next day, but it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours to apply any makeup. Make sure to wear a mineral base makeup.

Use SPF 30 or higher daily starting the next day and avoid sun exposure. Protect the treated area from the sun.

Make sure that anything that touches your face is clean (sunglasses, cell phone, pillowcase, towel, hands, cosmetic brushes) Change your pillow case the day of treatment .

No Scrubs or alcohol bases products for 2 weeks post treatment.

No Retinol, Vitamin A, products containing Salicylic Acid, acne topical creams with Benzoyl (AHA’s/BHA’s) or Vitamin C serums one week post treatment.

Avoid Anti-inflammatory medication (Advil or Ibuprofen or Aspirin) for one week post treatment.

No exercising, saunas, sweating, sun exposure, swimming, steam rooms or saunas for at least 3-4 days post treatment.

No shaving for a minimum of 48 hours

Treatment can be done 4-6 weeks apart, with a recommendation of 3 sessions total
